Why you’ll like it:
Beautifully light due to its southerly orientation and a generous amount of glazing, this house is a delight all year round. Completed in recent weeks, it is immaculate, both inside and out, and it is clear the designers have a keen eye for modern interiors. Oak flooring can be found throughout the living areas which span across two floors, and each of the bedrooms are carpeted. The rooms are airy and spacious, with high ceilings and delicate dove grey walls lit with LEDs, lending themselves perfectly to both family time and sophisticated entertaining. During the summer, the rear of the house opens completely to the sun terraces, which are a welcome extension of the home, and are completely private due to their position on the hill.
To the front, a neat brick drive has space for up to four cars, plus one more in the garage, which has an electronic roller door and there’s evergreen planting to soften the clean lines of the contemporary façade. The aluminium framed windows have been picked out in stylish charcoal grey, and you enter centrally to the house. Opening to a wide and welcoming entrance hall, you have a bedroom to the left, and also stretching the depth of the house is the first reception to the right.
This is an exceptional space, and while it is open plan to the kitchen, the room is cleverly zoned, with areas for formal dining, family time and relaxation. With gloss units forming a U shape, the kitchen has also been fitted with high quality appliances to include a dishwasher, a washing machine, dual ovens, an induction hob, a wine chiller and a microwave. The base units have been paired with composite stone worktops which run up the wall behind the hob as a splashback, and an arm reaches across the room to form a breakfast bar where friends and family can sit and chat as you cook.
Bedroom two sits on the westerly wing, with the same wide bay and sunny outlook as bedroom three, and has two porthole windows with leaded designs – the only evidence of the original home which once stood here. There is easy access from here to the ground floor shower room, making it feel like an en suite. Superbly stylish, this room has a monochrome palette with a conical hand basin set into polished slate, and the wet room style shower has a rainfall head to revive you in the morning.
Stairs lead down from the main reception into the living room which is a sight to behold with a fully glazed southerly wall leading seamlessly out to the sun terrace, which almost doubles the entertaining space during the summer. This space is palatial enough to house comfortable sofas and an entertainment system, plus a pool table or play area for little ones. Spilling outside, steps lead down to an area of lawn, and further down to a wild garden with climbing trees which seems to go on forever – a magical wonderland for children whose imaginations will run wild.
Returning to the house, Bedroom four and the master bedroom suite have been built into the first floor, and from here the views really come into their own. The glamorous en suite has a freestanding bathtub with floor mounted taps, so you can while away the hours in bubbles, watching the clouds drift by through two Velux windows.
This is a stunning home which needs to be seen to be admired, and being so favourably located for families, it is sure to attract many.
“We completely transformed this home from an ugly duckling into a fine swan, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. It is a house which would suit many, and we feel it now fits perfectly with its glorious surroundings. It is always a pleasure to breathe new life into a property, so now it just needs a family to move in and enjoy it.”

Bear in mind:
The garage is a fine size for one car, although the driveway is amply sized for parking several, so you may prefer to use it for storage, or even convert it into a gym, or a separate room adjoining the house as it has windows – certainly food for thought.
